We are the Red River Chapter of the Association for Commuter Transportation. The Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) is an international trade association and leading advocate for commuter transportation and transportation demand management. Commuting by bus, train, rideshare, bike, walking, or telework improves our world by contributing to energy independence, better air quality, sustainability, urban mobility, and reduced congestion.
ACT Red River Chapter Changes Board Leadership
ACT's 2017 Chapter of the Year
On January 1st, 2018 the Red River Chapter board President Craig Cotton took his seat on ACT's National Board therefore leaving the ACT Red River Chapter Presidency Open. The chapter Board unanimously agreed to hold elections to fill the vacant seat of President. This special election also provided the possibility for the Chapter's election cycle to realign with the National Board election cycle. The elections were conducted throughout the month of January and on February 1st, 2018 the winning candidate was announced. Danny Silva, the Chapter's Vice President was announce as the president elect, with transition to occur during the month of February 2018. The vacant Vice Presidency was awarded to Sonya Landrum. The new Board will hold office for a full two year term. The officers currently in place agreed to serve an additional year, so that the Chapter will achieve the election cycle realignment with ACT national.
